At WEMCO Ltd., we are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact and contributing to a more sustainable future. While we are in the early stages of developing our Carbon Reduction Plan, we are fully committed to reducing our carbon footprint and achieving Net Zero emissions.

Our first step is to assess our baseline emissions, which will serve as the foundation for our sustainability strategy. Once the baseline is established, we will set ambitious targets to reduce our emissions in line with government standards and industry best practices. These efforts will include:

- Transitioning our fleet to electric or hybrid vehicles.

- Implementing energy-efficient solutions such as LED/PIR lighting controls.

- Reducing business travel through remote working and virtual meetings.

We are committed to transparency and will report our progress in accordance with PPN 06/21, the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Protocol, and SECR requirements. Our Carbon Reduction Plan will cover Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions, ensuring we meet all necessary reporting standards.

As we continue to develop and implement our sustainability initiatives, we look forward to playing our part in driving a greener future for the industry and the communities we serve.

Concern for the environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to WEMCO’s activities and the management of the business.  We aim to follow and to promote good sustainability practice, to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities and to help our clients and partners to do the same.

Environmental Policy

We recognise the importance of environmental awareness and environmental issues which are essential to sustainable development. WEMCO believes that keeping the balance of the environment and environmental resources will lead to healthier and more acceptable conditions for work and social activity. WEMCO will take responsibility for its environmental impacts and is committed to continually improving its environmental performance. We have our own set of environmental procedures which are constantly monitored in order to sustain our ISO14001 accreditation.

Heath and Safety Policy

At WEMCO, our health and safety policy forms the heart of our operations and is integral in all activities carried out. We believe it is our responsibility to ensure the safety, health and welfare at work of all our employees and to prevent all unnecessary risks to the safety or health of others. Our Health and Safety Policy outlines the aims of the company and lists the steps we will take to ensure that those goals are met. We constantly revise and update the health and safety aims of the company to ensure that we promote the highest quality of safety standards.
